Handed-down rugs that have been passed on from generation to generation will really give a historic feel to the room you choose to place it in. You can even frame these rugs and hang them on a feature wall like many would artfully hang tapestries, scattering them over the walls in each room of your home.
Creating a unique feature wall using old porcelain plates or saucers of different shapes and sizes can also give your room a retro feel. Try and combine some more modern pieces with the antiques and the heritage items to keep your room’s interior feeling fresh and unique.
